DWG Golf Day

DWG Mortgages hold a golf day supporting selected charities each year to causes very close to our hearts.

In 2021 we raised £2200 each for The Matt Palmer Trust, Target Ovarian Cancer and Breast Cancer Now.

In 2022 we managed to increase that amazing amount to £3149.37 each for The Matt Palmer Trust, Target Ovarian Cancer and raising funds for a local lad Miles Stockwell.

For 2023 we hosted our golf day at a new venue "The Cave" in Boughton and supported The Matt Palmer Trust and Demelza House. Miles sadly lost his fight with bone cancer on 31st December 2022. As a tribute to Miles we chose to support Demelza House as they offer not only palliative care for children they also offer respite care for families and children not only at their hospices but out and about throughout the community. We visited Demelza and were blown away by the level of care that they provide and the facilities that they can offer families supported by them.

2024 saw us back at the Cave a week earlier than usual on Friday 6th September where we continued our support for The Matt Palmer Trust & the amazing work they do to improve mental health awareness as well as supporting The Bone Cancer Research Trust in memory of Miles. What a day that turned out to be, which was made even more memorable with thanks to our brilliant guest speaker, Barry McGuigan who stepped in at the last minute to save the day for us. We raised a staggering £6,353.34 meaning we were able to donate £3176.67 to each charity.
